About Gingerbred

Who are we?

GingerBred is a small family run business. It began in 2012 by making affordable Christmas gifts for our extended family, and their enthusiastic response inspired the beginnings of our business.

We enjoy seeing families and friends spend quality time together building our kits.

Our small part in making happy memories.

How it's made?

Each GingerBred kit is hand made in our kitchen. As is the nature with hand crafted goods, there is some variance in each cookie panel - size,shape and colour. No two kits will be exactly the same but this adds to the charm and character.

What's in our "do it yourself kit"?

The kit includes:

Ready baked gingerbread panels
Icing sugar to mix and build with
Various sweets and sprinkles for decoration
Easy to follow instructions

How long does the gingerbread last?

The gingerbread is sealed in a cellophane bag, which stays fresh for up to six weeks if kept in a cool dry place. Once opened consume within 7 days to ensure freshness.

What ingredients do we use?

Salted butter, sugar, syrup, eggs, flour and spices.

No preservatives or artificial colorants are used.

Our gingerbread is baked in a nut free kitchen. Although our decoration sweets do not contain nuts, some are made in factories that use nuts.

What will I need to complete my kit?

1 egg white - to mix with icing sugar

A pair of adult hands to help little ones.

Some self discipline to not eat the sweets and cookie panels before completing your house. :P
